Your objective is to collect evidence to convict the bad guys and find justice for the victims.

Basically, what you have here is you own personal CSI with a stylus and it fits in your pocket.

You get nine different tools with which to remove crime scene evidence, six different tools to analyze that evidence with and then, you get to lead the interrogation of the suspect…if you’re good enough to get that far.

Looks like the perfect way to spend a few hours if you think that you have an eye for detail and the intestinal fortitude to stick it out to the end.

The good people over at The International House of Mojo may have some good news for those fans of CSI – the ever popular tv show that has spun off a couple great games. What news might that be? Well, according to this post, we might just see the release of CSI: Hard Evidence by the end of next week. More likely, if it DOES indeed come out next week, we’ll probably be seein’ it on Tuesday.

Now, this might possibly just be a rumor, but you never know with TellTale, who just happen to be the company developing CSI. Those guys are tricky over there and tend to just randomly release games, surprising their fans everywhere and causing much giddiness. I guess only time will tell now.

Last week I wrote an entry about the new CSI game – CSI: Hard Evidence. I’ll have to admit, last Friday when I wrote that blog entry, I was not feeling well and just babbled a bunch of crap out without really checking my sources. In that post, I mention that the game would be coming out for the PS2 and the Nintendo DS and well… it isn’t coming out for either system whatsoever… at least not right now, anyways. This is why you shouldn’t blog while ill!

In my comments for that entry, I got two people yelling at me to “get it right” so to speak. Okay, they really didn’t yell at me. They just informed me that I’m bat assed crazy. Okay, they didn’t say that either. They just might have mentioned in passing that the game will actually be coming out for the Nintendo Wii (yes!), the xBox360 and the PC. MAN, did I EVER get that wrong! Eventually coming out for the PS2 is CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder and for the DS CSI: Dark Motives.

While I’m at it, why don’t we thank the Gnome over at Gnomeslair and Mark Darin of Pinhead Games for helping to get my head out of my butt. Thanks guys!

Man, TellTale Games sure does got a lot of work on its plate. Today, Ubisoft announced that a new CSI game will be coming out and it will, of course, be developed by the pride and joy of the adventure gaming world, TellTale Games.

TellTale developed the last CSI game, 3 Dimensions of Murder (which I heard wasn’t all that great… but whatev!), and released it last spring to the awe of millions and billions. The game is to be titled CSI: Hard Evidence and apparently there is some evidence in this game that is hard. I bet it’s going to be a bowling ball or maybe a diamond. Those are pretty hard, you know. A bowling ball for evidence would be great, especially if it was a bowling ball which had C4 stuck to the side of it and then the bad guy bowled it into the middle of a circus tent filled with midgets. That would be the coolest game ever. Oh, and what would be even better is if they released elephants into the middle of the tent to stomp out the midgets who were on fire. MASS HYSTERIA.

CSI: Hard Evidence features forensic reconstructions and atmospheric crime scenes taken directly from the television show, including an all-new garage lab for analyzing large evidence such as cars and boats, improved evidence gathering, review and lab mini-games, and more areas to explore, resulting in longer play experiences.

This will be the fifth CSI game and is expected to be out in Spring 2007.

You’d better get busy TellTale. If there are any interruptions in my Sam and Max game play experience, I’ll go postal. Seriously. Just remember the C4 bowling ball. Yeah… that’ll be your doom.
