The show is about a forensics team led by Horatio Caine (David Caruso) in South Florida.  Amid the social, cultural and ethnic tensions, the team investigates criminal activity.  I haven’t actually seen the show but I know that Caine is supposed to be a brooding, overly dramatic character (I’ve seen some pretty funny spoofs of this show) so I’m sure he makes for an interesting leader in such an intense environment.

CSI: Miami The Complete Seventh Season was released on DVD this week so if you haven’t seen it, you’ve still got time to catch up on last year’s storylines before Season 8 begins on September 21, 2009.

It’s unbelievable but this show has been on the air for eight seasons (which premieres this fall) so viewers are still interested after all this time.

In case the name sounds familiar, I feel compelled to mention the Cibrian has been at the heart of some major drama with country singer, LeAnn Rimes, after they starred in that made-for-tv movie, Northern Lights.

First, they were spotted together on, what looked like, a date where a video camera captured LeAnn sucking on Eddie’s fingers.  Since they are both married, they naturally denied the affair but it’s hard to believe that nothing happened with Cibrian’s wife, Brandi Glanville, accusing LeAnn of stalking her husband.

Hopefully, the drama in Cibrian’s personal life will settle down so that he can focus on his new job.
