Jerry Lewis Too Sick to Perform
Legend Jerry Lewis was scheduled to perform a sold-out charity concert in Sydney, Australia on Friday but the 85-year-old was too sick to get out of the car and never made it on stage.
The concert was set to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of Australia. And though the audience was told they could have refunds, they instead choose to allow the charity to keep the proceeds.

Columbo Dies at 83
Peter Falk, the star of the TV series Columbo, died on Thursday night at 83-years-old. Falk, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shera, and two daughters from his previous marriage.

Gil Scott-Heron Dies at 62
Prolific musician, poet, author and hip-hop pioneer Gil Scott-Heron, who wrote The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, died in New York on Friday at age 62. Though the cause of death is unknown, Scott-Heron had been battling cocaine addiction and HIV infection for decades.
Considered the Godfather of Rap, Scott-Heron was a key figure in post-civil rights articulation of Black America, while his early works were a forerunner to modern hip-hop.

Kwesi Boakye to Star with P-Diddy on Hawaii Five-O
If you haven’t heard the name Kwesi Boakye yet, you will soon. This kid is the latest Hollywood sensation at only 11-years-old. And pretty soon, you’ll see him on screen with P-Diddy.

Wyclef Jean Shot in Haiti
On Saturday night, reports emerged that hip hop artist Wyclef Jean was shot in Delmas, Haiti, just outside Port-au-Prince.
Armed gunmen reportedly opened fire at his car. He was in the vehicle with Busta Rhymes, Jimmy Rosemond and several others. Jean was the only one in the car who was shot.
According to AP reports out of Haiti, a spokesman for Jean said that he has been released from the hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound to his hand.

Mike Starr Dead at 44
Mike Starr, Alice in Chains’ bassist, passed away yesterday in Salt Lake City, UT. The cause of death is unknown at this point but many are speculating that drug overdose as the likely cause. Starr was just 44.
Starr appeared on Celebrity Rehab during season 3, but apparently wasn’t clean recently as he was arrested just a few weeks ago for drug possession. Salt Lake City police say he had Xanax and Opana painkillers when he was arrested.

When LeAnn Rimes was vacationing in Cabo last week with fiance Eddie Cibrian, she had a noticeably bigger bust. And a source tells USMagazine.com that she did indeed get an upgrade.
