For Mary, it’s love at first sight but Steve doesn’t feel the same way so he’s more than happy when he has to take off to cover a hurricane off the coast of Texas.  He tells her that he wishes she could come with him (what a mistake!) and takes off.  Unfortunately, Mary sees that as an invitation.

As Steve criss-crosses the country covering breaking news stories, Mary continues to pop up and surprise him.  While he tries to thwart her advances, the actions of self-serving reporter Hartman Hughes fuel on Mary’s obsession which is all fine and well until she ends up in harm’s way – at the center of the nation’s biggest news story.   Of course, Steve starts to see Mary for the good person that she is and I’m guessing he starts to fall in love with her.

Yeah, this is one for DVD…
