Valentino Rossi fanatics and fans will probably know that their number one man is about to celebrate his thirty-first year on the planet Earth on February 16. This means Valentino Rossi’s birthday, like my own, falls under the sign of aquarius on the astronomical charts. A fact that many astronomical fanatics would tell you is significant in many ways in the life of Valentino Rossi and I would have to agree. The stars and planets circling above us pull and tug on our being in more ways that we know, I feel, and one day we will hopefully have a better of idea of how they do so.

Valentino Rossi turns thirty one today!

Valentino certainly has the drive that aquarians are known for and the focus that often allows them to excel. After winning nine world championships on his bike, seven in the premier class of MotoGP, the focus and drive of the man can hardly be in doubt. He competes in a sport where it is unusual for a racer to win one world championship, let alone nine in two different classes. Also, Valentino’s skills go beyond racing bikes as his foray into race car driving has shown in recent years, and one gets the idea that this gentlemen probably would have been good at whatever he decided to do. Certainly, it must be said that he found the thing early in life that he was meant to do, race sportbikes, but the skills he possesses would certainly transmit well to other sports and activities in life.

Valentino Rossi is turning 31 today, but he looks to be picking up speed in his life, rather than slowing down. After fourteen years racing in the toughest sports arena for sportbike racers in the world, you think he might loose a bit of focus or concentration for a moment of two. No such luck for the other racers, who might have often wished their racing careers had occurred in a different age than the age of Valentino Rossi. If they’re going to win the elusive world championship they want, they’re going to have to go pass the Valentino Rossi Express, somewhere along the way, and nobody has been able to do that during a full season, so far.

2009 did appear to be one of the toughest yet for Valentino, but he still managed to come out on top again. Can he do it again is the question all his fans are asking and it’s a question that will be answered very shortly.

To the left is the first Mac and to the right, the latest.

Jef Raskin envisioned the first Mac and wanted to name it McIntosh, after his favorite type of Apple, but had to settle for Macintosh. That compromise allows us to call it a Mac.

One specialty of Mac is that Apple oversees all aspects of its hardware and pre-installs its own operating system (currently the Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard”) on all Macs. Macs have always been special like the Ford Mustang, something that everyone wishes to own, but few do because of their considerably higher pricing compared to the Windows PCs.

Macs are lauded for their user-friendliness, performance, aesthetics, and quality, like most other Apple products. Check out the Mac line and tell me if you find nothing mouth-watering.

Computeworld is featuring a special series on this occasion.
