In the show, Leonard and his friend Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) are experimental and theoretical physicists (respectively) who live in an apartment across the hall from hot waitress, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) who often balances out their nerdiness which is completely necessary when Leonard and Sheldon’s other geeky friends show up.

The show is unique and intelligent so, if you haven’t seen it, you might be interested in picking up a copy of The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Second Season which was released on DVD today.

The four disc box set includes all 23 episodes and includes special features like a gag reel and commentary by real-life physicist/UCLA professor David Saltzberg.
