Crystal Head Vodka Brain Freeze

• 1 1/2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
• 1 1/2 to 2 oz. Pure lime juice
• 1 oz. Simple syrup

Combine all the ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend until ice is well crushed. Serve in a sugar rimed rocks glass garnished with a slice of lime.

Crystal Head Vodka Cranium

• 1 1/2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
• Cranberry juice
• Grenadine

Pour Crystal Head vodka and Cranberry juice over ice in a tall glass. Add splash of Grenadine (unstirred) on the top. Garnish with blood orange
slice.

A Beer and a Bump

• 1 oz Four Roses bourbon
• Single serving of beer

Pour Four Roses into a shot glass. Serve with a beer.

Conjureversy

• 2 oz. Conjure Cognac
• 1 1/2 oz. energy drink

Serve on the rocks.

Slovenia defeated Australia 87-58. They dominated most of the game as Jaka Lokovic scored 19 points and the team hit 16-of-33 three pointers, including 5-of-8 in the third quarter to open up a 71-45 lead. Primoz Brezec of the Milwaukee Bucks had 12 points and Goran Dragic of the Suns tallied 10 points and eight assists for Slovenia.

With the Lakers trailing by five points with 42 seconds remaining, Bryant hit a three-pointer to bring L.A. within two points. Jameer Nelson then split a pair at the line. With 12 seconds to go, Bryant nailed a long two-pointer to make it a one-point affair. After Vince Carter went 1-for-2 at the charity stripe, Bryant missed a 20-footer at the buzzer that would have sent the game into overtime.

The Magic were led by Carter’s 25 points. Dwight Howard had 15 points, 16 rebounds and two blocked shots. With the win, the Magic are in second place in the Eastern Conference — five games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bryant led the way for the Lakeshow with 34 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and only one turnover. Pau Gasol chipped in with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even with the loss, the Lakers continue to have a strong lead over the rest of the field in the Western Conference.

This injury is the worst of the bunch for the Parker. He is likely to miss around six weeks, which would sideline him for the rest of the regular season. The best case scenario is that he’ll be able to play the final few games before the playoffs.

Without Parker, the Spurs may find it difficult to reach the postseason. They are currently in the seventh seed in the Western Conference and have an amazingly difficult schedule the rest of the way. It’s very possible for a team like the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Hornets or Memphis Grizzlies to leapfrog San Antonio.

In Parker’s place, George Hill will start at point guard. Manu Ginobili and Roger Mason, Jr. will also see more time at point guard. The Spurs will also likely sign a free agent point guard at some point in the next week.

On the season, Terry is averaging 17 points per game to go along with 3.8 assists in 33.9 minutes. He’s shooting 43.7% from the floor, 36.4% from the free throw line and 86.3% on three-pointers. The 32-year-old shooting guard out of Arizona is regarded as one of the top bench players in the NBA.

To replace Terry in the lineup, the Mavs will turn to a number of players. Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson, both recently acquired via trade from the Washington Wizards, will play more at shooting guard. JJ Barea and rookie Roddy Beaubois, who both usually play point guard, will see more minutes alongside Jason Kidd.

On Friday night, the Mavs beat the Sacramento Kings 108-100 to win their 10th straight game. They currently sit atop the Southwest Division and are in second place in the Western Conference standings behind only the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 23-year-old was taken off the court on a stretcher during the third quarter. He seemed fine as he walked off the floor for a timeout, but a few moments later slumped over in a chair. The game was halted for approximately 12 minutes as medical personnel worked on Stuckey. He apparently suffered a seizure, though it is not known at this time what caused it. Stuckey is currently listed in stable condition.

The soon to be 37-year-old was having a poor season for the Spurs prior to his release. In 25 games, he was averaging 3.7 points in 15.8 minutes per game, while shooting 38.1% from the field and 31.7% on three-pointers.

Finley began the season as a starter for San Antonio. However, he missed a huge chunk of the season due to an ankle injury.

With the Celtics, he’ll likely be the third string small forward behind Paul Pierce and Marquis Daniels. Due to all the injuries Boston has suffered this year, Finley will likely get a chance to help out at some point.

Other than the Spurs and now the Celtics, Finley has also played for the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks.

During the second half of the game between Baylor and Texas Tech, Griner was fouled underneath the basket by Jordan Barncastle. It was a clean foul, as Barncastle was simply trying everything she could to keep Griner from getting position in the lane.

Yes, there was some “chippy-ness” involved, but that is what is expected when you play hard in the lane.

Griner, who is normally unusually composed when defenses swarm and harass her, came unglued. Something about Barncastle’s foul hit a nerve in the talented freshman. After the whistle was blown, Griner lunged at Barncastle, who was already walking away from the play, and swung a roundhouse right at her face. The punch knocked her backwards, and everyone stood back in awe.

Did that really just happen? Did the most talented freshman in all of women’s basketball just punch another player in the face?

Griner was understandably ejected from the game with 9:01 left to play, leaving Baylor coach Kim Mulkey incredibly stunned.

“It was ugly for women’s basketball,” she told ESPN. “It was ugly that coaches were on the court, that benches cleared, and I will take care of that with my team.”

There is no doubt in my mind that Mulkey will get to the bottom of Griner’s motives for taking a swing at another player. It was so uncharacteristic, so shocking that I’m positive there is something bubbling beneath the surface of Griner’s emotions. Maybe the freshman is beginning to succumb to the pressure and overwhelming responsibility of being in the spotlight after all.

Either way, she’s taken two huge steps back.

Out of respect for “his airness,” James filed paperwork today in order to have his number changed from 23 to 6.

LeBron James is trading in number 23 for number 6.

Two things caught my attention when I read about this on ESPN.com. First, why does he have to file paperwork? What’s that about? I can just picture James sitting down in his king-sized office chair, finishing up his paperwork for his brand new jersey number.

Second, why did he choose number 6?

The number 6 is the same number that James wore during the Olympics. And both Julius Erving and Bill Russell also wore number 6 throughout their careers. So does that mean that there can only be one Jordan, but maybe two Dr. J’s?

Why doesn’t James establish his future legendary status with a number that hasn’t come before him?

I can see it now … a stadium full of Cleveland Cavalier fans, all wearing number 2. That’s right, number 2. If anyone can make number 2 cool, it’s LeBron James.

Kentucky lost to Tennessee. And Purdue lost to Michigan St. Only Duke and Syracuse continued on with their winning streaks.

So, what does all of this mean exactly? Well … as far as rankings go, there should be a new number one team in college basketball.

And that team should be Syracuse.

Even Syracuse fans know that their team should be ranked number one.

The Orange Men are rolling. They handled Villanova (a team that many analysts believed could win the whole NCAA Tournament this year) with impressive ease, winning 95 -77 in front of over 34,000 screaming ‘Cuse fans.

With a 26 -2 overall record, and an incredibly effective two-three zone defensive scheme, Syracuse should be the new number one team in the country.  In fact, I’m picking them to go all of the way in the NCAA Tournament.

We’ll know for sure once the new rankings are announced today. But in the meantime, here is my list of the new top five teams in college basketball:

1. Syracuse
2. Kentucky
3. Kansas
4. Duke
5. Purdue
