Is There An ISBN Solution for Music Files
My mind got stuck on an idea today that I can’t just shake free. Earlier today I began wondering if there’s a unique ID that’s assigned to every version of a song by different artists?
I’m somewhat familiar with services like Gracenote and their CDDB functionality, but after doing a bit of research on their service, I don’t think it works like I’m wondering or guessing.

Apple and Labels To Launch “Digital Albums”
In a move to bolster sales of albums, Apple, according to the Financial Times is joining forces with record labels to come up with new “Digital Albums”. This is reminiscent to the days wherein people would buy albums/cds not just for the music but for the covers and booklets that come with it.
