Yankees Owe $11 Million in Back Rent Costs

Here’s a big WHOOPS. The Yankees have apparently forgot to pay their rent.

Hey, it can happen to all of us. Except that the Yanks owe over $11 million in back rent that was not paid between 2003 and 2006. ~source

Now, what I wonder is not how the Yankees FORGOT to pay the rent, but how NO ONE seemed to notice until now? I mean, when your tenant is behind, say…. a million dollars in rent you think you’d notice? (Heck, with these ecomonic times I know when I’m missing five bucks, but that’s just me.)
