The New York Yankees hit three grand slams against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon. How rare is this feat? The Yankees became the first time in the history of baseball to hit three grand slams in the same game!

Robinson Cano hit a grand slam in the fifth inning, Russell Martin hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and then Curtis Granderson finished the feat with a grand slam in the eighth inning. When all was said and done, the Yankees were victorious by a final count of 22-9.

After a slow start that saw the A’s take a 7-1 lead, the Yankees exploded. They scored four runs in the fifth inning, four in the sixth, six in the seventh and six in the eighth.
