In Week 9 of the 2011 fantasy football season, we definitely saw our share of studs. If any of the below fantasy players were on your team, you are likely celebrating a Week 9 victory. Here’s our look at the top fantasy football studs at each position:
QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers threw three interceptions and the Chargers lost. However, fantasy football owners don’t care about that. Instead, they care about his 385 passing yards and four TD throws.
RB WilliS McGahee, Denver Broncos
Doesn’t it seem like he’s been around forever? Willis McGahee racked up 163 yards and two touchdowns on only 20 carries in Week 9.
WR Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers
Vincent Jackson has a tendency to explode for huge games. Week 9 was an example of just that. With Rivers looking for him early and often, Jackson racked up seven catches for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
TE Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
When Rob Gronkowski isn’t taking a picture with a pornstar, he’s becoming one of the NFL’s top tight ends. This week, he totaled eight catches for 101 yards and a TD.
