Thanks to Rico, who gave me the idea for this post, I am able to share with the rest of you what I’ve discovered about this jetpack thingie that was showcased during opening ceremonies of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Okay. That looked like a promotional clip for that company but hey, it sure was a lot of fun watching it. I wish I was there to see the jetpack [and the human, of course!] fly!

Cool, eh?
So, tell me — who wants to own one? LOL.
It’s great that YouTube‘s around to let us share videos like these. Heehee.

Thanks a lot for posting this! I was at the Rose Bowl Parade this year and a guy did the jet pack off a float. I told me family it was done at the 84 Opening Ceremonies and they all thought I was crazy…none of them remembered. I was beginning to wonder myself so am glad to find this! (Yes, thanks to youtube as well as google!) If you want to see my video from the parade you can go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGpSAbhAkPQ
Thanks again
