Vince Young Signs with Eagles

While all eyes are on the Philadelphia Eagles signing Nnamdi Asomugha, they made other moves on Friday. One such move was adding a backup quarterback in Vince Young. The former franchise player for the Tennessee Titans was signed to backup Michael Vick.

Personally, I think this is a great move for Vince Young. He’ll have a chance to learn and joins a great offensive system. The former Texas standout will also get a first-hand glimpse at how Michael Vick went from prison to the toast of the NFL.

Additionally, backing up Michael Vick means that he will almost surely see some action this season. Michael Vick always gets hurt sooner or later, which will open a door for Vince Young to show what he can do.

If Vince Young can learn the passing game and continue to be a savvy runner, he may actually reach his potential.
