Video: Tim Tebow Scores TD for Broncos

If Tim Tebow is going to make it in the NFL, he’s going to have to take advantage of his bruising running style. In his debut with the Denver Broncos, he appropriately enough scored his first touchdown via a rush up the middle that ended in a bruising collision at the goal line. Tebow was able to walk off the hit but the Broncos were defeated by the Cincinnati Bengals by a final score of 33-24 in an entertaining preseason contest.

Tebow had two rushes for ten yards and the touchdowns. Passing the ball, Tebow was 8-for-13 for 1-5 yards. He had a QB rating of 87 for the game.

“I saw an opening,” said Tebow of his rushing touchdown, “so I went to go get it and thankfully got in there.”

Even Carson Palmer, the quarterback of the Bengals, was impressed with Tebow’s play.

Said Palmer: “He’s such a competitor. I’ve been a big fan of his ever since he started at Florida. He’s one of the greatest college football players.”

As it stands, Tebow is likely third in the pecking order at quarterback for the Broncos behind Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. However, if Denver struggles at all this season, don’t be surprised if Tebow is guiding the team at some point.
