Video: Chris Paul Neck Injury

Chris Paul suffered a scary neck injury in Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers. After colliding with Ramon Sessions, Chris Paul fell to the ground and appeared to be knocked out. He was taken off the court on a stretcher and the medical staff rushed him to the a local hospital. Thankfully, it sounds like Chris Paul was able to avoid serious injury. He’s been diagnosed with a concussion but he was reportedly talking and laughing after the game and has feeling and movement in all his extremities. Chris Paul described the injury as a jammed neck.

Prior to getting hurt, Chris Paul had 13 points and 11 assists in 27 minutes. He helped the Hornets build a lead and his teammates were able to hold on for a 96-81 victory in Cleveland. The Hornets, 37-28, are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Due to his neck injury, Chris Paul is going to miss at least one game. Amazingly, he probably won’t miss many more games. Here is the scary Chris Paul neck injury video:
