Hours after Bob Bradley got fired, U.S. Soccer hired a new coach: Juergen Klinsmann. It has long been rumored that U.S. Soccer wanted Juergen Klinsmann but the two sides have never been able to reach an agreement. Until now.
U.S. Soccer has improved a lot in recent years. However, Juergen Klinsmann is seen as the man needed to take U.S. Soccer to the next level.
Said Sunil Gulati, president of U.S. Soccer: “We are excited to have Juergen as the head coach of our Men’s National Team. He is a highly accomplished player and coach with the experience and knowledge to advance the program.”
While there will be small tests along the way, Juergen Klinsmann will ultimately be judged by how U.S. Soccer does in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
