Troy Evans Arrested After Robbing Spree

Troy Evans is quick and shifty on the football field. Off the football field, the Marshall wide receiver isn’t as smooth. Troy Evans was arrested this week after allegedly going on a robbing spree on Sunday. In total, there are believed to be at least four separate incidents in which Troy Evans committed armed robbery.

The native of Oakland was heading into his junior season before these allegations popped up. He was actually a valuable member of the team — both as a wide receiver and a return specialist. Last year, he had 225 receiving yards on 21 catches. He showed his versatility by scoring three receiving touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns and a touchdown on a kick return.

Reports say that Troy Evans was arrested following a football practice. Marshall has suspended him but has only said that the 5-foot-9 speedster had broken undisclosed team rules. I guess going on an alleged robbing spree is against the rules in West Virginia.
