Tight End Rankings – 2011 Fantasy Football Rankings

A great tight end can give you a huge advantage in fantasy football. In 2011, that advantage may be even larger than normal due to the shortage of high quality players at that position. Here are our tight end rankings for 2011 fantasy football:

1. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Last season, Antonio Gates was on fire … but then got hurt. Health is the only thing between him and a fantastic season.

2. Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
Much like Gates, Dallas Clark’s biggest question mark is health. When going good, he’s unstoppable.

3. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Jason Witten has had an up and down fantasy football career. Fantasy football owners will be hoping for another up year.

4. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
When it comes to ability, Vernon Davis is elite. The question is whether the QB play will be good enough in San Francisco.

5. Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Late last year, Owen Daniels showed his potential. He could very well be a top three tight end this year.

6. Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers
An elite athlete, Jermichael Finley’s ceiling may be higher than any player on this list.

7. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Will he be a sleeper or a bust? The jury is out on Jimmy Graham.

8. Mercedes Lewis, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars believe in him. Do you? Personally, he’s too inconsistent to trust.

9. Zach Miller, Seattle Seahawks
Zach Miller thrived in Oakland. That’s saying a lot. Now in Seattle, you gotta think he can at least repeat what he’s been doing.

10. Kellen Winslow, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kellen Winslow is a decent option at tight end who will have two or three big games.
