Tiger Woods Chokes in Abu Dhabi

That Tiger Woods killer instinct from his prime? That seems to be lost forever. During the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Tiger collapsed during the final round to finish a disappointing third. Robert Rock ended up winning, while Rory McIlroy finished second.

In the first three rounds, Woods got better and better — posting a 70, 69 and a 66. But on Sunday, he shot a 72 to finish two strokes off the lead.

“Obviously the ultimate goal is to win and I didn’t win,” said Tiger. “I played well enough I thought to win the golf tournament. Unfortunately I just didn’t get it done.”

Tiger hasn’t won an official event since his victory at the Australian Masters back in 2009. Due to his collapsed in the Middle East, that dry spell continues.
