Ted Musgrave is Ready to Race

The 2010 Camping World Truck Series will get underway on Friday 12, after being off for too long, and fans of the fastest trucking sport in the world are just about ready to explode, after holding in their excitement over the start of another season, for months. The first race of the Camping World Truck Series will be held on the iconic track of Daytona International Speedway, a venue that has seen more than its share of races. Fans should contact their travel agents and purchase their ticket for the race, before their all gone and they’re left out in the cold.

2005 Camping World Truck Series Champion, Ted Musgrave is ready to return to his truck.

The 2010 Camping World Truck Series is going to be exciting for a lot of reasons, but one of the most exciting is the return of 2005 Camping World Truck Series Champion, Ted Musgrave to the series after an extended vacation from racing trucks. Ted has a very successful history on the track of Daytona International Speedway, with three top-five and four top-ten finishes on the 2.5-mile track that rests near Daytona, Beach, after a total of 18 races. Surely, he’s chomping at his bit to get back out on the track in the No. 15 Hope for Haiti Billy Ballew Motorsports Toyota Tundra NASCAR Camping World Truck Series truck he’ll be driving for the first race of the season.

Daytona International Speedway is a high-banked track that requires great aerodynamics in the trucks that run on the track and it’s a difficult place to win consistently. You can have the fastest truck and still finish last or the worst truck and win the race, it all depends on so many factors that no one can really predict what will happen. A racer needs to work with other trucks on the track in order to win on Daytona and getting in disagreements with other trucks on the track can be detrimental to winning. Keeping within yourself and your truck is important, but you’re going to need help in order to finish good, just as all the racers will.

Friday is going to be a fun and exciting time for all in attendance and I for one am looking forward to getting the trucks racing again. If you’re planning on being there, I’ll be the funny looking Chinaman with the NASCAR baseball cap. Stop and say hello to me and I’ll buy you a beer and we’ll enjoy the greatest sport in the world together.
