The San Antonio Spurs are not only 49-10 on the season, they currently hold one of the NBA’s most impressive streaks. The Spurs have now won 21 straight home games after a hard fought 95-88 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night. Manu Ginobili, who earned his second All-Star nod this season, led the way with 35 points for the Spurs.
The win was marred by the loss of their point guard. Tony Parker suffered a calf contusion and was forced to miss the final two quarters of the game. Thankfully for Parker and the Spurs, the injury isn’t thought to be serious at this point.
To go along with his 35 points, which were a season-high, Ginobili dished off eight assists, grabbed six rebounds and swiped two steals. Off the bench, the Spurs got 14 points from both Matt Bonner and George Hill.
The Grizzlies were led by Zach Randolph’s 24 points and 17 rebounds, however he was just 7-for-25 from the field.
The two teams play again on Tuesday night in Memphis.
