Over the weekend, fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins were scared by news that Sidney Crosby has a neck injury. However, it appears as if the neck injury isn’t serious. Why do I say that? I say that because Sidney Crosby was back on the ice on Monday and skated with some teammates during a short workout.
While it wasn’t close to real action, that Crosby is back on the ice at all is a great sign.
Said Chris Kunitz, a forward for the Penguins: “Anything that’s progressing for him to get healthy and getting back to 100 percent and feeling like Sidney Crosby does is a positive. If he’s skating and doing things, that’s good for him as a person and that’s what counts.”
While the Penguins aren’t giving a specific return date for Crosby, the team’s GM went on record to say that he’s optimistic that Crosby will be able to return before the end of this season.
