Sean Payton Cowboys Coach in Waiting?

Sean Payton, the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, is moving his family to Dallas. For a man who has talked about the importance of believing in the city of New Orleans and embracing the community, this is definitely an odd decision. Why is Sean Payton moving to Dallas? Is he having marital problems? Does he not like living in New Orleans? Or, perhaps, could Sean Payton by the Dallas Cowboys head coach in waiting?

Sean Payton isn’t giving many details about his decision to move his family to Dallas. It should be noted that his family lived in Dallas prior to him becoming the head coach of the Saints. But being a long-distance NFL head coach isn’t very practical. Neither is holding together a marriage and raising two children.

As for the Cowboys, they has Jason Garrett as their head coach headed into the 2011 NFL season. But if Jason Garrett falters the Cowboys now have an NFL head coach nearby who could covet the job.
