Seahawks, 7-9, Stun Saints

The Seattle Seahawks were the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs despite sporting a losing record. The 7-9 Seahawks are now the first team with a losing record to win a playoff game. On Saturday, the Seahawks stunned the Saints in one of the biggest upsets in the history of the NFL playoffs.

The defending Super Bowl champs were put to bed by Marshawn Lynch and his amazing 67-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Check out the Marshawn Lynch video to see what may be the greatest run in the history of the game.

Lynch’s heroics put the Seahawks up 41-30. Drew Brees led the Saints to another touchdown but they never got any closer. The 41-36 victory by the Seahawks couldn’t be described by quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

Said Hasselbeck: “It wasn’t just one thing, it felt like everyone did a little something to help us get the win. It was just an awesome feeling.”

Hasselbeck finished with four touchdown passes and 272 passing yards, while Lynch totaled 131 rushing yards on 19 carries.

One would assume that this is where Seattle’s runs ends. Then again, no one gave the Seahawks a chance against the Saints.
