Ryan Grant missed the Green Bay Packers run to the Super Bowl championship last season. For that reason, he’s looking to play as much as he can this year. Unfortunately, he suffered a bruised kidney in Week 3.
Although Ryan Grant says he feels fine, it is expected that the Packers will hold out their running back. With Ryan Grant on the sidelines, James Starks will get the carries.
For fantasy football owners, Starks is a boom or bust option. While he was very good at times last season, he also struggled at other times. This year, he’s averaging 4.6 yards per carry and has scored one touchdown.
Going forward, Ryan Grant holds more value than James Starks. But if you need a bye week filler or want to roll the dice, James Starks is a worthy option.
