The Nets are reportedly going to offer the Orlando Magic Brook Lopez plus draft picks in a swap for Dwight Howard. While Brook Lopez is far from the level of Dwight Howard, the Magic might listen if they become convinced that the three-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year will be headed elsewhere after the season.
The Nets, under new owner Mikhail Prokhorov, have been aggressive. They traded for Deron Williams last season and will freely spend money. Dwight Howard may like the idea of moving with the Nets to Brooklyn, so expect the team to offer everything they can to land the superstar center.
