This prediction doesn’t make much sense because I predicted UConn to win the college basketball national championship of March Madness 2011 prior to the start of the tournament. I also had Butler losing in the first round. But now, after watching both teams closely in the tournament, I’m switching sides and picking Butler to win tonight.
Why?
Butler is a tough, physical team that is on a mission. They don’t make many mistakes. They’ve been here before. They are very well coached. And, despite being a mid major, they have a good amount of talent.
Kemba Walker will undoubtedly make it tough on Butler. During March Madness 2011, he’s been the best player in all of college basketball. He’s smart, fearless and has an amazing will to win. But I just don’t think his team of freshmen will be able to handle the precision of Butler.
Final Prediction: Butler 68, UConn 59

Well, looks like the precision didn’t show up. Poor Butler couldn’t buy a shot in the second half.
