Plaxico Burress is out of jail and looking for a job. Surprisingly, the New York Giants are showing a lot of interest. It was always assumed that Burress would have to look elsewhere. But now, a reunion is a real possibility.
Burress, who will soon turn 34, has missed the last two seasons while serving his time. While having his ups and downs during his NFL career, Burress is still a hero to Giants fans for catching the winning touchdown in the team’s legendary Super Bowl upset over the undefeated New England Patriots.
If the Giants don’t sign Burress, some other team will. Despite his troubles, he’s a tall, athletic wide receiver with experience and a lot to prove. If he has his life in order, there aren’t many receivers on the planet with more natural talent.
