PETA’s Seaworld Lawsuit

You knew this was coming. In fact, I’m surprised it took this long. The locos at PETA have sued Seaworld on behalf of five killer whales. According to PETA’s lawsuit, Seaworld is “enslaving” the sea creatures.

Amazingly, PETA is even pointing to the 13th Amendment as reason why the killer whales should be set free. For those of you who didn’t pay attention at school, the 13th Amendment put a ban on human slavery. PETA wants to somehow classify the plight of these big fish the plight of human slaves.

Unbelievable.

The five killer whales in the lawsuit are Ulises, Kasatka, Corky, Katina and Tilikum. The whales are “enslaved” in San Diego and Orlando.

Now I’m hungry. I’ll go eat a killer whale burger.

You sir, are a terrible human being. They’re not fish, they’re mammals and although I don’t always agree with PETA’s campaign’s, I don’t think any marine mammal should be kept in captivity.

Most orcas die in captivity well before their life expectancy in the wild so whether they’re enslaved or not, it’s still wrong.
