Patriots Hold Pep Rally

The New England Patriots are headed to the Super Bowl. Before making the trip to Indianapolis, the Patriots said goodbye to their faithful fans at a pep rally held in Gillette Stadium. About 25,000 fans showed up to cheer on their heroes.

Said Tom Brady: “We have the greatest fans in America. You guys have proved that year in and year out with your support. I wish I could take all you guys to Indy with us. We’re going down there … and we’re going down there for one reason.”

Even Bill Belichick, who never shows much emotion, got into the action.

“We’re really excited about the trip, appreciate the support,” said the Patriots head coach. “I’m sure we’ll see some of you out in Indy. Go Pats.”

While it was a fun atmosphere, the New York Giants won’t be nearly as accommodating in the Super Bowl. If the Patriots need a reminder, they simply need to look back at when the two teams last played in the nation’s most watched contest.
