Overrated Fantasy Basketball Players

This early in the basketball season, it’s easy to get caught up in the success and start to overrate certain fantasy basketball players. With that in mind, here’s our list of the most overrated fantasy basketball players for the 2011-12 NBA season.

Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
We remember the championship run. And he looks good again this year. But Dirk Nowitzki’s minutes will be limited this year, so his fantasy basketball impact will be muted.

Marcus Thornton, Sacramento Kings
Marcus Thornton can score the basketball. The problem is that he does little else. For fantasy basketball sake, he’s not very valuable due to being so one-dimensional.

Lou Williams, Philadelphia 76ers
To begin the season, Lou Williams has been lighting it up. However, as a bench player, his minutes will be spotty. Plus, he’s historically a very streaky player.
