We are a week into the 2008 Olympics and I have watched only a few events on TV. I’ve seen some basketball, boxing, equestrian, baseball and handball. However, yesterday it dawned on me that something was missing. Something like flonkerton! If you aren’t familiar with flonkerton, make sure you pay close attention.
Flonkerton is a sport that should be in the Olympics. OK – fine… the office Olympics. As a matter of fact, it was in “The Office” Olympics on NBC. It’s a sport that Pam named as Kevin and Phyllis tried desperately to cross the finish line will lugging two full paper boxes on the bottom of their feet. OK – so not exactly your normal Olympic event, but one that I’ve been thinking about lately, since the new season of “The Office” is right around the corner. In fact, Jim, Dwight, and Andy have been seen during NBC Olympic coverage breaks with a new commercial and new possible game, called “Slap Face.”
That commercial really had me rolling on the floor when I saw it for the first time. It’s still a great commercial to watch when you need a pick-me-up. And, I’m pretty sure the slapping of the face was real and not CGI and no little girl was really making the noise that you couldn’t see.
Do you have an Olympic game that you think would be perfect for either the Olympics or office Olympics? Let us know about it.
