Oklahoma Owns Kansas State

Undefeated and 8th ranked Kansas State appeared to be a Cinderella candidate down the stretch of the college football season. However, you can scratch that idea. Oklahoma destroyed Kansas State on Saturday and showed why they used to be ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Oklahoma got out to a 14-0 lead before Kansas State scored 17 straight. From then on, though, it was all Oklahoma. The Sooners scored the last 44 points of the game to win by a final score of 58-17.

Landry Jones was amazing, finishing 35-47 for 505 passing yards and five touchdowns. Oklahoma’s defense held Kansas State’s quarterback, Collin Klein, to 58 yards passing.

Oklahoma, who entered the game ranked 9th in the nation, has an outside chance at playing for the national championship. To do so, they’d have to win the rest of their games and have some of the higher seeds slip up. But, as Kansas State can tell you, the Sooners are as good as any team when they are playing their best.
