NFL Predictions – Wild Card Weekend

These year’s NFL Wild Card Weekend promises to be a great one. All four games are interesting and history tells us we should expect at least one upset. With two games on Saturday and another two games on Sunday, get ready to fire up your television, grab a few cold ones and watch some of the best football of the year.

New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks – Saturday, 4:30 PM EST
The defending Super Bowl champions will be forced to start their repeat attempt in Seattle. While the Saints are a big favorite, don’t underestimate the Seahawks. They have a great home crowd that will make life difficult for Drew Brees and the Saints. That said, the Saints will advance.
PREDICTION: Saints 27, Seahawks 13

New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts – Saturday, 8:00 PM EST
Rex Ryan, the head coach of the Jets, likes to talk a lot of trash. On Saturday, he’s going to be hurting. Peyton Manning is too good and will rip apart the Jets overrated defense. I don’t expect this one to be close.
PREDICTION: Colts 31, Jets 10

Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday, 1:00 PM EST
The Chiefs have been a great story this season. They came out of nowhere to play great football. However, this is where it ends. The Ravens are too talented, too smart and have too much experience.
PREDICTION: Ravens 24, Chiefs 20

Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles – Sunday, 4:30 PM EST
This will be the most exciting game of NFL Wild Card Weekend. The high-powered Packers travel to Philadelphia to take on Michael Vick and the Eagles. While these two teams are close to equal, the difference will be Philadelphia’s running game.
PREDICTION: Eagles 34, Packers 28

I’d actually be quite surprised to see Seattle score ANY points against the Saints. Not offensively at least.
