Another game. Another Nelson Cruz home run. The Texas Rangers have won their first four ballgames of the season and Cruz has a homer in each of the contests. His first three homers came against the Boston Red Sox. His fourth was on Monday night versus the Seattle Mariners.
On the season, Cruz is hitting .429. Teammate Ian Kinsler hit homers in the first three games of the season but went homerless against the Mariners. The Rangers won their first four games of the season by a total of 17 runs — the best mark in the Major League Baseball thus far.
After making to the World Series last season, the Rangers are proving that their success wasn’t a fluke. Only the Baltimore Orioles can match their 4-0 record. Even though it’s early, the Rangers already look like the overwhelming favorite in the AL West.
