Michael Vick Injury Update – Fantasy Football Impact

Michael Vick fantasy football owners aren’t sleeping well tonight. The top rated fantasy quarterback coming into the 2011 fantasy football season is injured once again. Last week, Vick suffered a concussion. In Week 3, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles broke his hand.

Though Vick returned to the field after breaking his right hand, he soon had to leave again because the swelling and pain were just too much. His status for next week isn’t known, however it’s safe to assume he’ll miss at least a couple of games.

The only good news for Vick, the Eagles and his fantasy owners is that he’s a lefty. Once he’s able to hold onto the ball, protect himself and deal with the pain, he should be able to go back onto the field.

The bad news is that Vick’s fantasy stock is dropping like a rock. He’s fragile and his fantasy production is human. Going forward, Vick is probably a borderline top ten fantasy football quarterback.
