Miami Heat Exhibition Game at FIU

This time of year, we’re used to watching NBA preseason action. However, with the NBA lockout putting things on hold, we’ll have to settle for exhibition games of another sort. But there’s an interesting one being put together that will take place on the campus of Florida International University on October 8th.

Who is playing? The Miami Heat trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will take part. As will a number of other superstars including Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, John Wall, Rajon Rondo and Rudy Gay.

The coaches for the game will be celebrities, too. Rapper Rick Ross will coach one team, while comedian Kevin Hart will coach the other team.

There’s no word yet if this game will be on television, though there would surely be an audience to check out this star-studded game. If you want to attend the game in person, you better start heading to South Florida now because the FIU gym hold less than 5,000.
