In a matchup that may very well decide the Western Conference champions, the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks. Since the San Antonio Spurs have been eliminated, these are the top two remaining seeds in the West. Who is going to win between the Lakers and the Mavs?
The Lakers will win. Easily.
The Mavs are a solid club but they don’t have the talent, size or cohesion to beat the Lakers. Additionally, the Mavs have no one to try to slow down Kobe Bryant. When it’s all said and done, the Lakers will be taking home this series in 5 games.
The Mavs have legit size in the combination of Tyson Chandler and Brendan Haywood, however outside of Dirk Nowitzki, there’s not much reason to believe in this team. The Lakers are mentally tougher and the Mavs have a history of collapsing in the postseason.
