Matthew Stafford has a painful ankle injury that will limit his ability to move in the pocket. However, the good news for the Detroit Lions is that he’s going to play in Week 8 against the the Denver Broncos.
If you have Matthew Stafford on your fantasy football team, go ahead and start him in Week 8. The Broncos aren’t very good and Stafford has been a fantasy stud so far this season. Even if he’s a bit hobbled, he’s a sure bet to toss at least two touchdown passes.
That said, be sure to have a quality backup on hand. Matthew Stafford is a fragile player and is one hard hit away from being out for the season. Going without a good backup would be fantasy suicide.
On the season, Matthew Stafford has 1,912 passing yards, 16 touchdown passes and four interceptions.
