LeBron James Powers Depleted Heat

When he was on the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James was accustomed to carrying the load. With Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh out injured, LeBron once again felt what it is like to carry a whole team on his shoulders. As it turned out, LeBron was up for the task as the Miami Heat defeated the Detroit Pistons by a final score of 88-87.

In 44 minutes of action, LeBron had 39 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. He connected on 15-of-25 shot attempts and half of his four three-pointers. The other two Heat players in double-figures were Eddie House (15) and Mike Miller (12).

Even though the Heat were without two of their Big 3, LeBron knew it was going to be a war.

“No one feels sorry for us,” said LeBron.

“No matter who’s in uniform, guys have to step up.”

The Pistons were led by Ben Gordon’s 21 points and Austin Daye’s 19 points and nine rebounds.
