No, that’s not the sky falling in Philadelphia, instead it’s a kid falling over the fence onto the warning track during batting practice. Luckily, the youngster wasn’t seriously injured from what looks like a 10-foot fence.
You have to wonder what is going through New York Mets pitcher Mike Pelfrey’s head as the kid stumbles toward him in pain after the fall. Not exactly the kind of outfield shagging a pitcher wants to go through during batting practice. Check out the video of the kid falling over the fence below:

What a bunch of wussies. Arent you guys late for your bikini waxing?
The kid got the air knocked out of him, and had an amazing adventure. Kudos to Pelfrey for being able to give the kid a half hug.

[...] Inside The Ballpark: This video is a must-see. I always wondered how more people don’t fall out of the stands. Also, Mike Pelfrey is such a nice guy. [...]
Happened on Tuesday.
Yeah absolutely. And like you said, Pelfrey must’ve just been stunned there. This just happened in the past series? I’m surprised I didn’t hear about it.
Yeah – I don’t understand how it possibly would happen. You would think his family members there would not let him lean out that far or whatever he was doing.
Oh my God, that’s awful. How the hell is he totally fine after that?
