Kevin Durant to Turkey? Besiktas in Play

Besiktas, the basketball team in Turkey that signed Deron Williams earlier in the summer, is now negotiating with Kevin Durant. While Besiktas is still trying to sign Kobe Bryant, it appears as if Kevin Durant is their fallback option. And by the sounds of it, the two sides could very well agree to a contract soon.

The agent for Kevin Durant admits Turkey is an option, however he insists that there are other options as well. However, China is reportedly not in play.

If the NBA loses Kevin Durant to overseas play during the lockout, that could put more pressure on the owners. Seeing one of their young superstars put their career on the line can’t sit well. Then again, the owners seem dead set to make the NBA lockout extend as long as is needed to get a great deal.

Could Beisktas sign Deron Williams, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant? Probably not. But if they do, they could charge pay-per-view in the United States and we’d probably all watch.
