The Denver Broncos have a new head coach. John Fox, who just completed a 2-14 season with the Carolina Panthers, has been hired as the Broncos. Fox takes over a team that desperately needs an experienced, professional head coach after the disaster that was the Josh McDaniels coaching reign.
Said Fox: “I am very thankful to Pat Bowlen and John Elway for giving me the opportunity to coach a football team with such a proud tradition. The Broncos have a culture of winning, and I am excited to continue that legacy. I can’t wait to get to work.”
The news was broken by John Elway on his Twitter account. In introducing Fox to the world via Twitter, Elway said the team’s new coach will be able to “energize our entire organization.”
With the Panthers, Fox was regarded as one of the best in the business by his peers. In only his second season in Carolina, Fox led the Panthers to the Super Bowl. The Broncos are hoping their new head coach will able to work similar magic in Denver.
