Once upon a time, the Los Angeles Lakers were high on Javaris Crittenton and viewed him as a legit NBA player. In fact, some Lakers fans compared his ability at a young age to one Kobe Bryant. However, those thoughts are a distant memory as the 23-year-old is currently wanted for murder in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to police, Javaris Crittenton killed Jullian Jones. Authorities say she wasn’t the intended target but was shot when the ex-NBA player was attempting to get revenge for a theft that had occurred a few months back.
Javaris Crittenton is perhaps best known for his role in the Gilbert Arenas gun-play incident that left both players suspended for a long period of time. For his nBA career, Javaris Crittenton averaged 5.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 16.4 minutes per game. His best year came in 2007-08 when the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 7.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists for the Memphis Grizzlies.
