Javaris Crittenton is a free man. For the time being, at least. Javaris Critten was freed on a $230,000 bond on Tuesday. The former NBA player has been charged in a murder of 22-year-old woman.
According to police, Crittenton was shooting at a man who had previously robbed him and accidentally hit Julian Jones. Police have two witnesses who have picked Crittenton out of a lineup.
The 23-year-old played his college basketball at Georgia Tech and played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards. He’s perhaps most well-known for the locker room gun incident that led to Gilbert Arenas being suspended for 50 games.
Crittenton had former coaches and teammates beg the judge to let him out on bond. The begging apparently worked.
