Finally: Kevin Kolb Traded to the Cardinals

Kevin Kolb of the Philadelphia Eagles has been in trade rumors ever since Michael Vick stole his starting quarterback job. Finally, on Thursday the Eagles traded Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals. In return, Philadelphia will receive Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a future 2nd round selection.

With the Cardinals, Kevin Kolb will become the starting quarterback. Last season, Arizona had horrible quarterback play after Kurt Warner retired. By adding Kevin Kolb, even at the high asking price, the Cardinals should have a capable QB on their hands.

For the Eagles, this was a pretty good deal for a backup quarterback. Rodgers-Cromartie is talented and the 2nd round pick is very valuable. However, with how fragile Michael Vick is, trading away arguably the best backup quarterback in the NFL is definitely risky.
