Fair Grounds Recap – Feb 13th

Fast main track and off the turf. Five wire jobs with two at six furlongs, two at a mile and a sixteenth, and one at a mile and forty yards.

Hat trick for Shane Sellers, and Shaun Bridgmohan and Steve Asmussen teamed up for four wins on the day.

Clear Sailing rallied from last to neck 33-1 speedster Fighter Wing in the 33^rd running of the Pelleteri Stakes for fillies and mares. Heavy fav War Echo was along for the show in a disappointing effort.

On the analysis front, I got home tops Azuma Banker ($5.80) and White Chiffon ($4.40). I also tabbed the early double (race 1-2, $24.60).

Fair Grounds Preview – Feb 14th

An 11-race program will be run on Sunday at the Fair Grounds. Pick six carryover of $918. There is a 40% chance of PM showers with a high temperature of 61.

I’ll mix it up today and toss in a bonus free selection from the New Orleans oval. The opening race is a maiden claiming sprint for 3yo’s. #1 SGT. EMBLETON (5-2) finished a clear 2^nd behind a runaway winner in local bow. Albarado hops aboard, and he’s 2 for 4 with this barn recently. If he moves forward as expected, he should be able to hold safe the trio of newcomers. The Plays: #1 to win, Exacta 1/3-4-6
