Donovan Earns MVP Award For MLS

Landon Donovan is celebrating a personal victory this week as he was awarded the MVP for the 2009 MLS season. The MVP is the highest honour for any individual player. Well you can’t say he didn’t earn it. Donovan almost single handedly carried his the LA Galaxy to the MLS Finals this year, already winning for them the Western Conference Championship.

After getting into a little bit of trouble a few months ago for voicing his disdain for co-player David Beckham, he’s bounced back to a point where the two have worked together as a team. That couldn’t have been easy. Lets hope that Donovan will be able to keep up the momentum and bring home the MLS Cup this year.
