Urban Meyer has officially been introduced as the new coach of Ohio State football. That isn’t very newsworthy since it’s been obvious for days that he was going to take the job. However, what is newsworthy are his contract details.
- Here are some of the details and incentives included in his contract:
- Urban Meyer gets $4 million per season guaranteed for six seasons.
- If he’s still the coach at the end of the six seasons, he’ll get a $1.2 million bonus.
- He can make up to $150,000 depending on the Academic Progress Rate of his players.
- He can make up to $150,000 depending on the Graduation Success Rate of his players.
- He can earn $250,000 for leading Ohio State to the BCS National Championship.
- He gets a free golf course membership.
- He gets a $1200 per vehicle stipend.
