If you have DeSean Jackson in your fantasy football starting lineup, remove him immediately. The Philadelphia Eagles have made Jackson inactive after the star wide receiver overslept a mandatory team meeting on Saturday.
Since the Eagles are taking on the Arizona Cardinals this week, they should be able to win without Jackson. On the season, he has 29 catches for 503 yards and two touchdowns.
In Jackson’s place, Jason Avant will get the start. And honestly, it’s not that huge of a drop off. Playing in a reserve role, Avant has 33 catches for 432 yards in 2011.
Going forward, Jackson should obviously remain on your fantasy football roster. But with Michael Vick spreading the ball around this year more than last year, Jackson is much more of a WR3 than a WR1 these days.
